Pegasus ProfileTM is a unique genetic assessment tool that evaluates a horse’s DNA at 40 distinct locations along the genome. The unique genetic signature is then compared to a growing database of over 1000 retired thoroughbred racehorses. The proprietary 40 marker panel was derived from rigorous multivariate regression analysis of available microsatellite markers and single nucleotide polymorphisms identified by genome wide association studies.
